How to Test an Egg

Generally you'll be fine for a few days, but if you are worried, you can test an egg to see how fresh it is by placing it in a bowl of fresh cold salt free water.
-If the egg lays flat on the bottom, it's as fresh as can be.
-If the larger end rises slightly, still fresh.
-If it stands on one end, but it still rests on the bottom, it's ok.
-If it floats, then it's a no go.
